Visiting & Lodging
Historic coastal defenses, wildlife-rich marshes, waterfront parks and convenient bridge-area hotels make Pennsville one of Salem County's strongest visitor bases.
Fort Mott State Park
Fort Mott preserves late-19th-century Delaware River coastal defenses, including gun batteries, interpretive exhibits and a museum. The park also offers trails, picnicking, fishing, a playground and seasonal ferry connections. Admission is free, although some programs may carry fees.
Supawna Meadows National Wildlife Refuge
The 2,800-acre refuge protects tidal marsh, grassland and forest habitat within the Delaware River estuary. Visitors can use designated trails for wildlife observation and birding; fishing and regulated hunting are also permitted under current rules.
